Condition

Please note that the 'Davenport' mark (not DAVENPORT) is mostly seen on the underside of the gilt-rim edged wares and not the green-edged wares, as stated in the catalogue. Gilt-edged wares: There are varying degrees of occasional rubbing to the gilding on the rim edges. The footed compote: There is an approximate 1/8-inch glaze chip and another 1/8-inch flat chip to the footrim. Lozenge-shaped dish: There is a discolored haircrack running down the side from the rim to the center of the base and forking into two short opposite directions. There is a 1-inch long restored rim chip issuing an approximate 2 inch haircrack running down the side of the rim. Dessert tureen and cover: The cover has an approximate 3 by 2 inch restored area at the rim, possibly covering a chip or a haircrack. Plates: The 'EIDER-DUCK OF-FERROYER-ISLAND' plate has some fine and short scratches to the enamels n the central painting. Otherwise in generally good condition. Green-edged wares: All in generally good condition except: The footed sauce tureen, cover and stand: The cover has a tiny flat chip tom the flange, which is not visible from the exterior. The tureen has restoration to the rim edge on the side painted with the purple and yellow bird possibly covering a haricrack running down the side from the rim; the stand has restoration to the rim edges on both opposite sides, above and below the central bird painting, possibly covering haircracks running down from the rim. Plates: One has some minor scratching to the enamels on the central painting and the two other are broken into several pieces; the pieces are all retained and can be cleanly restored.
