Condition

Spotted deer: on J Whatman watermark paper visible right edge. The sheet is in overall good condition aside from surface start handling creases scattered small spots of foxing or discoloration. There is a small adhesion to the lower left corner likely resultant from a previous matting. There is a similar abrasion to the lower right corner. In overall good condition. Unknown: remnants of a J Whatman watermark visible along the right edge. The sheet is hand cut and the edges are uneven. The sheet is in overall good condition aside from surface dirt, handling creases, minor scattered spots of discoloration. There is a horizontal hard crease that extends across the center of the sheet above the animals back which may be integral to the sheet. Bat: The sheet is Handcut and the dimensions are somewhat uneven. There's a hardcopy a small loss to the lower right corner. Additional creases from handling as well as surface dirt evident at all four corners. The sheet is an overall good condition aside from handling creases, surface dirt, minor fading and small scattered spots of foxing. Mongoose: On J Whatman Turkey Mill 1834 watermarked paper. The sheet is hand cut and the dimensions are somewhat uneven. there is a small loss to the lower left corner. The sheet is an overall good condition aside from handling creases, surface dirt, minor fading and small scattered spots of foxing. Frog in a glass jar: The sheet is hand cut and the dimensions are somewhat uneven. The sheet is in overall good condition aside from surface dirt a small area of weakness and discoloration lower right of the glass jar and a few spots of darker discoloration along the bottom of the jar which may be the artist intent. Snake, with two details of the head and a detail of the head: The sheet is hand cut and the edges are somewhat uneven. The upper left corner has been bent. The sheet is in overall good condition aside from surface dirt some minor fading and a few scattered discolorations which may be integral to the paper. In overall good condition. Frog in a glass jar: The sheet is in overall good condition aside from a few small scattered spots of foxing in the upper left quadrant; A small discoloration or fall to the paper at center left; and an area along the left lower edge that is either a weakness in the paper or a repaired loss. In overall good condition.
