4to (8 5/8 x 6 3/8 in.; 220 x 162 mm). Woodcut armorial vignette on title, ruled in red, printed in double columns, woodcut headpiece and decorative initials. Contemporary vellum elaborately gilt-tooled with interlaced fillets and feather and pointillé designs, in an all-over pattern with numerous oval, quadrilobe or shaped inlays of light brown, citron and dark blue morocco, each gilt-tooled with small tools, oval inlays on spine, edges gilt; a few inlays chipped, upper joint splitting, ties gone.
