Two volumes, 4to (11 1/2 x 9 1/8 in.; 294 x 230 mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece; uniformly browned, some spotting and foxing, half title in volume 1 discarded by binder, without the 4-leaf Supplement printed in 1798 and not present in all copies; title of volume 1 with a press-cutting from 1821 pasted on verso, offsetting on recto, portrait with foxing. Contemporary binding signed H. Walther: green straight-grained morocco, gilt fillets on panels, gilt ornament on spine; extremities and bands rubbed, spine faded.
