Title-page printed in red and black within double rules, engraved frontispiece portrait of Waller by Pieter Van der Banck after Peter Lely, woodcut factotum, printer's ornament headpiece; P5–7 shaved close but not affecting text. Contemporary red morocco Cambridge-style binding gilt, with gilt center emblem of Cupid, the spine in six compartments gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt over marbled edges; old scratches to upper board, minor wear to joints, upper right corner of first flyleaf clipped square.
