Maroon morocco by Rivière, covers paneled in gilt and blind, gilt edges.

Catalogue Note
First edition, second state of sheet C, with the reading "worthily" on C1r, line 24. In addition to Spenser's Colin Clouts, a satire on the uncertainties of the courtier's life, this work contains six poems commemorating Sir Philip Sidney, including Spenser's "Astrophel," two pieces by Spenser's friend Ludowic Bryskett (one signed "L.B."), one likely by Matthew Roydon, and two attributed to Sir Walter Raleigh, the dedicatee.
