Title within historiated woodcut border, second title with same border also dated 1617, engraved double-page map bound between A1 and A2, head-, tailpieces and decorative initials; title soiled, small wormhole in title and next two leaves, some light dampstaining, wormtrack in lower margin of leaves A4-6 entering frames of genealogies. Contemporary calf, tooled in blind and gilt, lage gilt corner pieces in the Lyonese style, with the Royal Arms of Charles I in the center of each side and the initials CR, spine gilt; joints cracking, head and foot of spine and corners mended, many scuffmarks and abrasions on covers, endpapers renewed.
