Additional title within woodcut border, letterpress title with woodcut scene, second title for New Testament dated 1599, third undated title for Psalmes; dampstain in upper portion of first 35 leaves, some light browning and marginal spotting, a few ink stains in last leaf of OT. Contemporary gilt-tooled calf over oak boards, decorated in a center and cornerpiece design, double border of roll-tooled flowers and scrolls, central interlace medallion of flowers and leaves in a field of small clover stamps, four cornerpieces in same pattern, repeated floral cluster stamps in five compartments of spine, 1 brass clasp and catch; head and foot of spine chipped, corners mended, second clasp gone.

Beautifully bound copy of the Geneva Bible, one of the editions probably printed at Amsterdam for the use of English Puritans in the Low Countries. At the end are Sternhold and Hopkins' metrical Psalms.
