Two volumes in one, 286 & 176 pages, folio (315 x 190 mm), engraved frontispiece portrait of Purcell by White after Closterman (in Book 1 only), titles in red and black, dedications, epistles and poems, verses on the death of Purcell transposed to Book 2, type-set music throughout, wood-cut initials; browning to title,  Contemporary panelled black morocco gilt, spine gilt in compartments.
