Folio (11 1/4 x 7 5/8 in.; 285 x 194 mm). Printed in red and black throughout, woodcut illustrations (some full-page) and initials, typeset music, two leaves of the Canon of the Mass (N3-4) on vellum, gothic type, woodcut printer's device on last page; lacking leaves CC2-5 (4 leaves), worm punctures in first fifty leaves and last few quires, some marginal and larger dampstains, contemporary marginalia. Contemporary Oxford calf, blind-tooled in a panel design, the central panel in a diaper pattern with a pineapple stamp (Pearson ornaments 15-17), and the frame filled with a roll-tool of animals within a scroll (Oldham 571), in a brown cloth drop-box; rebacked with fragments of the original spine laid down, endpapers renewed, worm punctures, scrapes and some mends.
