Catalogue Note

William Jemmat (d.1678) was a clergyman and author of a number of theological works. He spent much of his working life in Reading, where he was vicar of St Giles from 1649 until his death. This notebook dates from his period at Oxford, where he presumably heard the sermons which are recorded here. He matriculated from Magdalen College in 1610 and proceeded MA in 1617.
