Engraved frontispiece portrait of Henry VII by John Payne, title within architectural woodcut border (McKerrow & Ferguson 224), woodcut initials and headpieces, text within ruled border with blank marginal columns for side-notes (one printed side-note on X1v), contemporary annotations, errata on 2I4r (4 of 7 errata corrected in print only on pp. 59, 122, and 184), T1r, l. 12 reads "Ioint," and Y2r, l.2 reads "spoyle"; light to moderate browning throughout. Eighteenth-century calf paneled blind, central panel composed of blind-roll tools and triple fillets, spine in six compartments, red morocco lettering-piece, printer's waste used for pastedowns, plain free endpapers, edges plain; ties and clasps perished, a few old unobtrusive scrapes to boards, joints cracking at spine ends.
