Folio (12 1/2 x 8 in.; 316 x 203 mm). Engraved frontispiece "portrait in death" thus blackened by Edward Marshall after Wenzel Hollar dated 1663, title printed in red and black, woodcut headpieces and decorative initials; minor wormtrack in lower margin of frontispiece and title with a few light marginal spots, clean tear in bottom of text block of leaf K3 mended, occasional marginal spots or smudges. Contemporary red morocco, gilt tooled in a panel design in the style of Samuel Mearne, gilt-stamped armorial supralibros of Charles II on both covers, spine richly gilt, edges gilt; ties gone, extremities rubbed.
