Engraved title, numerous woodcut text illustrations, woodcut head- and tailpieces, historiated and decorative initials, with first and last blank leaves; paper flaw in fore-margin of leaf 4i3 touching one letter. Contemporary calf ruled in gilt and blind, panel with gilt-stamped lyonnaise medallion with initials "W H" on either side, gilt-ruled compartments on spine; joints mended but lower joint cracking, corners bumped or torn, some abrasions and scuffmarks on covers.
