Headpieces of woodcut and of printer's ornament; lightly browned, a few light spots on title and next leaf, small dampstain in fore-margin of first few quires extending into the text in the last four quires, small repair in fore-margin of last leaf without loss. Nineteenth-century olive half morocco, by Worsfold; extremities rubbed.

First edition. The play was adapted from Samuel Daniel's Hymens Triumph; the dedication is signed in type by John Ford. This is the first of his plays to be printed. This is the only copy to appear at auction in the last fifty years.
