24mo (3 1/2 x 1 3/4 in.; 88 x 44 mm). Printer's device, woodcut initials and headpieces, autograph press-mark "In Archiv. Vitr" struck out. Contemporary Parisian red morocco, panels decorated with gilt Evelyn's griffin in medallion, two gilt triple-fillet frames, gilt Evelyn's ciphers in laurel branch in each corner, gilt ornament on spine with repeated griffin and cipher "IE"; joint slightly cracked.
