Printer's device on title-page, woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces. Full-page engraved armorial bookplate of Richard Browne with autograph press-mark "H. 70 - 48 Mercurio" and autograph mention "Evellendo Cultior" (both struck out). Title repaired and tipped in. Seventeenth-century French red morocco, gilt ornamental frame on panel with arms of John Evelyn's father-in-law, Sir Richard Browne, in center and ciphers on each corner, gilt arms and ciphers on spine. two very small wormholes at bottom of spine.
