Engraved frontispiece by Michael Vandergucht, 101 engraved plates, chiefly by Wencelaus Hollar and Frantz Clein, title-page printed in red and black; nineteen plates browned, light dampstaining to thirty plates, faint offsetting of plate opposite R3r, short tear on bottom margin of plate opposite H1 mended, closed tear in lower corner of plate opposite 2Z1v; lacks blank leaf 2[cross]4, quires 2*–5*, ¶–2¶, and 4H–4I browned, 2 short tears (3R4, 4F4) and a 3-inch tear (3R3) along bottom margin, faint dampstaining affecting 9 quires and 9 individual leaves. Old calf, blind Bridgewater supralibros, spine in seven compartments (one lettered gilt, one with black morocco lettering-piece), sprinkled edges; rebacked, bottom board edge of front cover a trifle scraped, marginal staining to endpapers.
