Two works bound in one volume, 4to (7 1/2 x 5 1/8 in.; 191 x 130 mm). Engraved frontispiece portrait of the author, variant with the curtain partly drawn and the signatures at the bottom "B: Masters comp: Hen: Seile excu: Ro: Vaughan sculp:", numerous printers ornaments and decorated initials, separate dated title-page for Piramus but with continuous register; frontispiece platemark strengthened, lacks final leaf (being one of two variants: license leaf or blank). Red morocco paneled gilt by F. Bedford, the spine lettered and decorated gilt in six compartments, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, edges gilt.
