4to (6 7/8 x 4 1/2 in.; 175 x 115 mm). Woodcut ornament on title, woodcut headpiece and decorative initial; title soiled and abraded with small mends obscuring a few words of the imprint, light dampstain in upper portion of first three quires, top edge trimmed affecting a few running headlines. Modern red morocco gilt, by Sangorskie & Sutcliffe.

First edition. "Alterations were made in the text while the sheets were passing through the press, e.g. verso Sig C2, line 3, 'direction' is altered to 'erection'; and in the same line 'loued' is corrected to 'lowe'; recto Sig [C4], lines 17-18, 'place|speeding' is changed to 'speed-|ing place'." (Pforzheimer). The present copy has the corrected version.
