Three volumes extended to four, 4to (10 7/8 x 7 1/4 in.; 278 x 187 mm). One of the 100 large-paper copies, reimposed in quarto, with illustrations on India paper and mounted in the text, extra-illustrated with portraits, variant states of many of the plates and one original drawing by G. Lewis (volume III, Part II, "Supplement", page XXXIX), spotting, foxing and offsetting, large dampstain affecting lower margin of volume 1, upper and lower margins of volume 2. Contemporary blue morocco by Lewis, gilt arms of Henry Gee Barnard on panels within an elaborated gilt ornament; volumes 1 and 2 with joints rubbed.
