Persian manuscript on polished paper, 158 leaves (11 x 6 1/4 in.; 283 x 160 mm) plus 4 flyleaves, 9 lines to the page, written in nasta’liq script in black ink, occasional words picked out in red, catchwords, ruled in colors and gold, f.2b with an illuminated polychrome floral headpiece, 8 gouache illustrations of horses heightened with gold, opening doublure with 2 book plates, flyleaf with various inscriptions; slightly thumbed, some water staining at the upper edges, further water stains to the end pages. Brown calf; spine worn.
