Manuscript in Japanese. One volume (of two?) (9 3/8 x 7 3/8 in.; 240 x 189 mm). 133 pages on rice paper, illustrated with twenty-one drawings of horses and nineteen small drawings of training tools and other accoutrement; two red ink stamps. Original orange wrappers with later printed title label: Ōtsuboryū Bajyutsu Hisho. Dark blue Japanese cloth case, with Japanese title label and plastic ties, one red ink stamp in the inside cover.
