comprising: a pair of vases painted with a band of colorful flowers and a gold-ground campana vase painted on one side with a flower-filled basket and on the other with garden flowers, on wood bases. 6 pieces.
Condition
Please note that the vases have not been examined out of the bases and mounts and are drilled for electricity. Overall there is some minor and occasional rubbing to the gilding, some of which has been retouched. There is also some very minor and occasional scratches to the enamels.
The pair: both vases have been restored where the vase connects to the foot, with several further associated chips at the area, possibly due to tightening of the screws. One has some black pitting to the base which is firing-related and a small flat chip to the edge of base. The other has several short haircracks running around the body, the neck and the foot.
The campana vase: There is some wear to the gilding along the edges. Both handles have been broken offf with further associated breaks on the lower body all the way to the area where the vase connects with the foot; the breaks have been restored back; however the restoration is not very well done. There is an approximate 2-inch long area at the rim that has been broken off and restored back. All restorations partially extend further around the broken areas.
