Condition

An old relining is firm and stable under a slightly dirty and dull varnish. Some minor scuffing and abrasions around the extreme edges. Sold old filled losses, visible under UV, along the upper edge. Overall the paint surface is well preserved, with good detail throughout. There is an old repaired compound tear in the upper right corner visible with the naked eye, but not distracting. Scattered cosmetic retouches are visible under UV, some in the form of inpainting of craqueleure in the horse. Overall good condition. Offered in a black and gilt wood frame.
