Condition
GEORGE ARMFIELD, Two Spaniels Hunting Ducks:
Oil on canvas, not lined. The surface is in overall good condition aside from surface dirt, a stable web of craquelure and abrasions from framing at the extreme edges. The varnish has dulled. Under UV light, no apparent inpaints are visible, though there is some minor inpainting to address the previously mentioned craquelure. Framed and ready to hang.
ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGE ARMFIELD, Three Dogs Chasing a Hare:
Oil on canvas. The surface is in overall good condition aside from surface dirt, a stable web of craquelure and abrasions from framing at the extreme edges. The varnish has dulled. Under UV light, no apparent inpaints are aside form a few small spots in the black dog. Framed and ready to hang.
