Condition

THOMAS WEBSTER, Biddy: Oil on panel, with a shiny varnish. The surface is in generally good condition aside from a stable web of craquelure. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green and obscures the picture, though there are a few scattered dots of inpaint scattered over the surface. Wilhelm von Diez, On the way to market: Oil on panel. The panel is slightly beveled on the verso. The surface is in generally fair condition, though the varnish has been unevenly applied and is matte in places. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green and obscures the picture, though there are a few scattered dots of inpaint in the upper left quadrant and a small area near the horse's front left hoof.
