Description

  • length of tureen across handles 13 1/4 in.
  • 33.7 cm
reserved with mirror- and vase-shaped panels enclosing birds and insects, the cover surmounted with an apple knop, fretted square mark in underglaze-blue. Together with a pair of Worcester blue-scale-ground plates painted with panels of flowers, fretted square marks in underglaze-blue.

Condition

The tureen has a long crack, extending downwards from the rim, curving towards one end and continuing to run down and across the length of the base. The cover has a narrow flat , shallow chip to the surface of one leaf. The plates are in generally good condition.
