Oil on board. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from minor surface dirt and a stable web of very fine, almost imperceptible craquelure. There is an area of retouched loss in the boy's right shoulder. Under UV light, there are a few small dots and dashes of retouching at the extreme edges. There are also three small areas of retouching in the sky, two near the upper left corner and one near the center. Framed, in overall good condition, and ready to hang.
