- POTTERY, PORCELAIN
- height of tallest 5 3/8 in.
- 13.7 cm
comprising: three earthenware examples, a miniature earthenware group with three buildings, an earthenware pastille burner and cover and a porcelain pastille burner. Together with a Staffordshire earthenware nesting-dove small tureen and cover and an earthenware group of a hound and puppies in a basket. 10 pieces.
Condition
Some occasional and minor chips or losses to the edges of the applied flowers and leaves overall. Otherwise in generally good condition, except:
The larger salmon-ground cottage: there is an extended haircrack running from the middle point in the back down and across the base and continuing upwards on the other side through the lower left window and up to the edge of the roof. There is an additional 3-inch haircrack running horizontally on the back.
The one with the pink roof: Both chimneys have been off and restored back.
Miniature example: has been broken into multiple pieces and put back together.
Earthenware pastille burner and cover: Several small chips to the edges of both chimneys. there is a 1-inch flat chip to the interior of the rim of the burner.
Dog group: has some minor flakings to the enamel. There are two short haircracks running around his front ankles. There are several restored chips to the edge of the base.
Dove tureen and cover: Some very minor and occasional flakings to the enamel. Its beak is restored. there is a 1 by 1/2 inch restored area to the right of its head near the rim edge. Its tail has been off and restored back with an associated small rim chip and extended haircrack running down approximately 3 inches from the rim chip.
