A pair of English porcelain yellow-ground oval soup tureens, cover, stands circa 1805

probably Coalport, each piece painted with a border of pink roses on a black ground. Together with a pair of large oval vegetable tureens and covers, en suite. 10 pieces.

There is overall occasional, minor wear to gilding and some very minor and occasional scratching to the enamels . Pair of English tureens, covers and stands: Covers: each with a small flat chip to the edge. Tureens: in generally good condition. The stands: each with some stacking wear to the yellow enamel in the cavetto area. One with an approximate 2-inch re-glued chip to the footrim and an approximate 1-inch haircrack running down the rim. The other has two restored rim chips and a larger restored area, approximately measuring 3 by 3 inches, that has been riveted. This break issues an approximate 2 1/2-inch haircrack running down the side of the rim. The other pair of tureens and stands: The tureens are lacking liners and the covers are not sitting properly. Covers: One has a 3 by 1 inch restored area at the rim. The other is in generally good condition. Tureens: each with all four hooks, where the liners would have been placed, restored. Otherwise in good condition.
