each painted in the center, probably by George Robertson, with an oval or square gilt-edged maritime panel, blue crowned crossed batons and D marks and inscribed titles.
Condition
The smaller coffee can is in generally good condition.
The larger one has several very short and fine haircracks running down from the rim edge and 1/2-inch long area at the border of the rim , right above the central panel, where the gilding appears to have misfired. There are two haircracks running around the ends of the handle; the handle has possibly not been off; however it is difficult to determine this. Otherwise in good condition.
