Description

  • PORCELAIN
  • height of cups 3 3/8 in.
  • 8.6 cm
one reserved with a canted square panel painted with a gray stallion; the other with a stag, puce crowned crossed batons and D marks. Together with a Derby porcelain yellow-ground small mug painted in sepia with a leaping stag, gilt crowned crossed batons and D mark. 5 pieces.

Condition

The cup with the stag and saucer: has an extended haircrack running all the way down the rim and curving in to two directions running around the sides parallel to the base. There is an approximate 1/4-inch flat chip at the rim edge that has been glued back. The saucer is in good condition. The cup with the horse and saucer: There are two small flat chips to the rim edge by the handle. Otherwise in good condition. The mug is in good condition apart from two short fine scratches to the central panel.
