Oil on panel. A widely spaced web of craquelure over the entire surface. A yellowed, dirty varnish. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green and obscures the picture
ALEXANDER REINAGLE, Fox head:
Oil on panel. The panel is slightly convex and there is a dent at upper right. Web of craquelure across the surface, with associated losses, especially in the forehead of the fox. Under UV light, there are inpaints scattered along the edges, and the center of the work is obscured by a green varnish.
