Condition

Over-gilt; the gilding is gloppy; the mirror was originally painted and one can see traces of the cream-colored paint beneath the gilding; the mirror would benefit from being stripped of its gilding to reveal the crisply carved and nicely painted surface beneath; the cresting with some small cracks to some of the scrolls; small separation and cracking over the lines of the construction; chips and losses to the gilding.
