comprising a settee and six armchairs. Aubusson upholstery extensively worn out.

Condition

As stated in the catalogue description the Aubusson tapestry is extensively worn out, showing tears, losses to silk threading and design. Now showing horse hair cushioning. The spring and jute cushioned structure under the settee is loose, and all chairs and settee will need to be re-upholstered. The carved frames are sturdy but with extensive loss to gilding showing bare wood. The frames also show gilt over paint to 95% of their surface.
