Oil on coarse canvas. There are horizontal lines of craquelure through the white cloth Christ is seated on. Stretcher bar marks have been retouched at some time. A repaired diagonal damage above the Christ child's head. There is creasing, craquelure, and retouching evident from a previous framing or folding extending from the diagonal retouching into the folds of the white cloth; horizontally through the Magi's shoulders; and vertically approximately 6 inches from the left edge.
