each square section baluster body reserved with shaped panels printed and painted in the Chinese style with oriental figures at various pursuits or landscape scenes on the pale blue ground decorated with 'cloud' motifs and flanked by dragon handles, the covers each affixed with a four-story pagoda finial, printed factory mark FENTON STONE WORKS / C.J. M & CO. / STAFFORDSHIRE POTTERIES. GRANITE. CHINA.

Condition

The covers: There are several restored breaks to the rim, which have been well-restored and also some restoration to the upper two sections of the pagoda finial. The other cover has the finial broken off and restored back. There are several chips to the middle two roofs of the pagoda and two repaired chips to the topmost section. There are three large sections broken off the rim and glued back together. The vases: One with several cracks running down from the rim, the largest approximately for 7 inches. The other vase has some restoration to one handle. There are restored cracks to the rim on one side extending as far as the base of the handle.
