modelled recumbent, the cover surmounted with a lamb-form finial.

Condition

The cover: There are three approximate 1-inch long thin restored areas at the rim edge, covering small chips; the restoration is old and turned yellow and extends for another 2 or 3 inches. The sheep on the knop has restoration to the tips of both ears. The tureen: There is some very minor and occasional abrasions to the glaze or body some of which are firing-related. The tip of its left ear is restored. There is a small flat chip to the underside of the base, which is not visible from the exterior and another approximate 1-inch restored area to the edge of base, covering chip/s.
