A figure of a seated dog similarly modeled on a marbelized base from the Collection of Igo Levi in Nürnberg is illustrated by Friedrich H. Hofmann in Geschichte der Bayreuther Fayencefabrik, cat. no. 58. Another similar example from the C. A. Jaennicke Collection was sold by Sotheby's Parke Bernet, April 26, 1983, lot 17; and again on June 12, 1984, lot 47.
