The cover: The beak of the bird is touched up, possibly covering a glaze chip or a small chip. There is another very small restored area at the back of the bird's head, possibly covering a tiny chip or a glaze flake. There is an approximate 1/2 by 1/2 inch area at the rim that has been broken off and glued back; there is a haircrack issuing from the break point running up approximately 1 1/2 inches and curving into the bird's feathers for 3 or 4 inches. The tureen is in generally good condition apart from some very minow and occasional abrasions to the glaze along the rim edges.
