Catalogue Note

With a Jaeger-LeCoultre certificate, instruction manual, loupe and presentation box.

The anniversary edition of this watch has already become one of the legendary minute repeaters. Its dial opens on the movement, which immediately stands out as the main player in a visual and acoustical extravaganza. The product of a lengthy research process, its crystal gong, made of a material that remains a trade secret, represents a major innovation in sound.
Moreover, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 947 is the only manually wound movement that has a 15-day power reserve, thanks to two barrels mounted in series. The spring torque is displayed on a special indicator, guaranteeing optimal accuracy as long as the hand remains in the indicator’s safety zone.
The bridges and the nickel-silver plate of this exceptional 413-piece movement are ruthenium plated; a list of the finishing techniques used is like a treasury of fine watchmaking’s decorative traditions: rectilinear and circular polishing, drawing, sunburst, snailing, chamfering, circular graining, polishing and engraving. The plate is decorated with “côtes soleillées” and the chatons are screwed down.
