Catalogue Note

The imprint states that the total edition includes 210 examples of which 40 contain an a suite with remarques, 160 without the suite and ten hors commerce copies.  However, financial difficulties forced a more limited printing of 100 (40 suites on Japon and 60 on Arches wove paper unevenly numbered).

The edition was completed in 1974.  Pierre Argillet completed the remainder of the 1934 edition, printing 100 books and suites with the remarques.  Unlike the 1934 edition each example was signed by the artist and evenly numbered.
