  • gelatin silver print

Condition

This early Callahan photograph, on semi-glossy paper, is in generally very good condition. The print is mounted to thin, light green card. Age-appropriate silvering is visible under raking light along the periphery of the print. There are two parallel linear raised areas in the upper left quadrant that likely occurred during mounting; these are only visible in raking light. A few small indentations appear throughout print. The mount is age darkened and slightly discolored. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
