Condition

This early, cool-toned print, trimmed to the image and flush-mounted to board, is in generally very good condition. There is creasing in the upper and lower corners, some of which appears to break the emulsion. Old conservation that appears to have darkened somewhat with age is visible in the upper right corner. A few faint impressions, scuffs, and scratches are only visible upon very close examination in raking light. These do not are not immediately apparent and do not detract from the fine appearance of this early print. The reverse of the mount is credited in an unidentified hand in pencil. Abrasions, paper adhesions, and a thin strip of yellowed adhesive suggest that this print was previously affixed to a secondary mount. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce. On the reverse of the frame is a Howard Greenberg Gallery, New York, label.
