Description

  • Paul Caponigro
  • 'Running White Deer'
  • gelatin silver print
mounted, signed in pencil on the mount, with title and '#10' in pencil on the reverse, framed, 1967, printed later (Caponigro, pl. 33)

Condition

This print is generally in excellent condition. In raking light, the following are visible: a barely discernible vertical linear indentation running from the top down on the right side of the image, and a tiny fiber adhesion on the left side of the image. These do not detract from the generally fine appearance of the print. On the reverse of the mount, along the edges, there is some light soiling and some scattered scratches to the board. The following is written in pencil, possibly in the artist's hand: 'Running White Deer' and '#10.' The numbers '23-0352' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
