signed in pencil in the margin, signed and annotated 'N. Y. C.' in pencil and with the photographer's credit stamp on the reverse, 1953 (Snaps, p. 171)
Condition
This early print, on semi-glossy, double-weight paper, is in generally very good condition. There are some faint indentations and very soft creases visible on the surface under raking light. Each margin corner is slightly bumped, and there are a few small losses of emulsion. There is a sharp crease breaking the emulsion at the upper left margin corner and a barely discernible crease at the upper right corner. These issues mostly affect the margin and do not detract from the image. The print is very slightly warm-toned overall. On the reverse, there is a faint tideline and damp stain running the length of the left edge. It appears to affect the front of the print only in the far right margin, where there are a few matte areas that can be seen under raking light, as well as very subtle rippling of the paper in the margin. The reverse of the paper is very lightly soiled. A pencil notation reads 'EEV009' on the reverse of the paper.
