Two solarised silver prints mounted on original card. Signed and dated 1936 at lower right. Annotated N°4 Film Solarisé Expo. 1937 in pencil by the photographer and with a photographer's stamp on the reverse of the card.

Condition

Both prints are in very good general condition. The top one with a strong scratch of approx. 3 mm near the upper left corner. The bottom print with a tiny tear of approx. 3 mm at the right edge near the lower corner. Both prints with random very light scratches visible in raking light only.

Catalogue Note

This study of a Punu Mask is composed with two solarised film stills mounted as a collage. They were taken from a movie about the Voodoo cult which was shown during the Exposition Internationale in 1937.
