Condition
Diana's small finger of her proper right hand missing, as well as the tip of her arch and index of her proper right hand. Patina retouched at several places, as can seen on the photograph. The dog's left forearm and his right hind leg with restoration.

Catalogue Note
La Compagne de Diane en marbre grandeur nature fut commandée à Frémin en 1710 par la Direction des Bâtiments du Roi (musée du Louvre, inv. n° MR1862). En 1717, elle comptait parmi les neuf nymphes chasseresses ornant le parc du château de Marly. Une terre cuite réalisée d'après le marbre grandeur nature se trouve au musée d'Arras (cf. Souchal, op. cit.). Notre terre cuite est de mêmes dimensions que le marbre la terre cuite d'Arras.
