Condition
Illustration is quite accurate. Impressive model, large size. Overall condition is good. The gilding is quite mat and will benefit a light cleaning.The central ruby glass in good condition. 2 cut glass ornaments (the tall triangular around the central ring) replaced. Pierced and fitted for electricity.

Catalogue Note
Cet important lustre à 30 lumières s'inscrit dans la production des lustres et girandoles réalisés à Saint-Petersbourg à la toute fin du XVIIIe siècle et plus particulièrement de Johann Adam Fischer, l'un des plus célèbres fabricants de lustres actif dans la capitale impériale. La forme générale, la structure aérée, le décor en verre de couleur rouge et cristal taillé évoquent les réalisations de bronzier d'origine allemande qui a signé et daté plusieurs pièces. Sur les lustres et girandoles signés on retrouve les fines gerbes formées de tiges flexibles en bronze doré soutenant les mirzas en pendeloques ainsi que les poignards en verre taillé qui appartiennent typiquement au répertoire décoratif de l'art du luminaire russe vers 1800.
